Our Approach

Learning Looks Like Play

At Firefly, we don’t separate learning from play — we believe the two are the same thing.

Play-Based Learning

Children build confidence, problem-solving skills, language, creativity, and relationships through meaningful play — not worksheets. A block tower is a lesson in physics. A pretend kitchen is a lesson in language and cooperation. Play is the curriculum.

Social-Emotional Development

Our educators help children identify their emotions, communicate their needs, solve conflicts with words, and develop real empathy for the people around them.

Nature and Movement

Every day includes real time outside — running, climbing, gardening, and exploring. Fresh air and movement aren’t a break from learning; they’re part of it.

Creative Expression

Art, music, storytelling, building, and dramatic play show up throughout the week, giving every child a way to express themselves that fits who they are.

Practical Life Skills

Children practice real routines — cleaning up, serving their own food, making choices, caring for their space — building independence and self-confidence along the way.

Family Partnership

You’re not just dropping off — you’re partnering with us. Expect regular communication through Brightwheel, developmental updates, and real opportunities to be part of the Firefly community.
